It’s spring and my house is finished! Today, I joined forces with Mary from A Stroll Thru Life, along with a few very talented bloggers, to share a week of touring homes with spring decorations. If you are from our fifth house, you are welcome! I love Carmel’s style because she doesn’t care about the rules! She creates a home that she loves and appreciates. So let’s start with this spring tour.
My front door is already in bloom with this beautiful wreath of tulips. I noticed the other day that birds were checking it out. Too weird! I have a little tip for hanging wreaths on glass storm doors … it’s a two-way magnetic hook and it works surprisingly well. It never fell and my door is still beautiful.
Now is the time for you to come to the living room. You will notice that my decor is quite neutral and simple. When we moved here a few years ago, I had too much stuff. With this. Many. Things. No one needs so much! After doing the dishes, I promised myself to keep things to a minimum.
I changed my decor for spring with new navy cushions, greener in pretty vases, and a subtle touch of pink. I have killed plants in the past, but last year or so … I had quite a bit of success. So slowly … they joined the family. Even though these succulents are in the dog’s bowl, they are fake. Yes, it depends. I have a 2-year-old boy who likes to rearrange my decor. It’s as simple as that.
I slipped into a little photo of the pug, Butters. If you look closely you can see that he is sleeping with his tongue hanging out
The kitchen is still my favorite room in the house since the reconstruction (more information HERE). And it’s also fun to decorate. I just added fresh flowers and lots of greenery. My organized tray even has its own mini fern to add a nice touch of green. I hope he stays alive because I really love seeing him every day.
For the dining room, I added a few wall baskets with beautiful spring flowers. I also put this huge lantern up for sale a month ago and found this perfect piece for her. There are three candles placed in it, but I thought another plant might be nice there as well.
The new panel in the dining room is also a new favorite. For me, it is a beautiful memory to give – as we have all been blessed by so much.
Hope you enjoyed my spring tour it was so nice to see you…
